About the Artist

Emily Vanns is a female artist living and working in East London, UK. She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Kingston University in 2014 and studied briefly at The Royal Drawing School. This experience had a significant impact on her work and painting and printmaking have taken centre stage in her practice ever since. 

Inspiration and influences for her work includes Metaphysical Painting, Surrealism, Literature, Folklore, Mythology, Theatre Design, Architecture and Botany. 

Her work has been exhibited nationally and has been selected for various competitions, including The Ruskin Drawing Prize and The Royal Watercolour Society.
